What it is
Chess runs alongside everything else rather than in a slot of its own. The boards are up across both days and games are played through them, which makes it the part of the floor people keep coming back to between stalls.
Standards are mixed on purpose. A club player and somebody who learned the moves last year are both in this hall, and pairing across that gap is the reason for running a competition at an education fair rather than at a chess club.
Times, rounds and anything that has a price on it are set per edition. When the 2026 line-up is fixed it goes up on the EduExpo page first.
